Every bottle is made at the Wicked Dolphin distillery at 131 SW 3rd Place, Cape Coral, Florida 33991. Wicked Dolphin is a family-run craft distillery founded in 2012, and its rum is distilled in small batches in the largest American copper pot still in South Florida.

Wicked Dolphin rum is distilled from 100% Florida sugar cane, grown about 35 minutes from the distillery. The flavored rums use local, natural ingredients such as Florida orange peel, Florida key lime, Florida mangos, real coconut water, local honey and locally sourced coffee, with less sugar than the national brands. Because it is distilled from sugar cane rather than grain, the rum is naturally gluten free.

The reserve rums rest in American white oak barrels that previously held Kentucky bourbon, used once and then retired. Florida's heat and humidity speed up the exchange between rum and oak, which gives Silver Reserve and Gold Reserve their vanilla, butterscotch and whiskey notes. The barrel aged releases are aged for 3, 6 and 10 years.

RumShine is Wicked Dolphin's fruit rum made with the same small batch process as the other rums, then steeped with fresh local fruit. Blueberry RumShine and Strawberry RumShine use fresh local berries for a naturally sweet taste, and Pineapple Jalapeño RumShine steeps fresh jalapeño in Pineapple rum for a tropical sweetness with a spicy kick. RumShine is bottled at 100 proof.

Wicked Dolphin was voted Best Craft Rum Distillery in the USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice awards four years in a row, from 2016 to 2019. Silver Reserve Rum won a gold medal at the 2014 International Rum Conference, Spiced Rum was named Best of Category by the American Distilling Institute in 2016, and Wicked Dolphin Vodka won a silver medal at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Yes. The distillery and tasting room at 131 SW 3rd Place, Cape Coral, FL 33991 is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 11am to 5pm, and closed on Sunday.
